Kristin Fisher joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. In her position as the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the rise and development of tourism to space. Kristin is her mother was one of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the industry. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump administrations. Through her tenure, she reported on the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trials, two efforts to stop the corona virus pandemic, and two other administrations' efforts. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin has spent more than an entire decade working in the TV industry.
